Google announced a new search operator that allows you, as the users, to filter some results for a specific date range. Before you see how you put the date range as YYYY-MM-DD, they changed it to YYYY-MM-DD, where the results are before, after, and within the specified dates. Sometimes, there is a question of why you must care about it, but it makes it easier to search for something online when you add dates or years. When you filter queries by dates in SEOs, it is more of a strong picture of how their rankings have improved or fallen over time, making it easier to know which site to open. When you filter by date, it will help you clear the effect that seasonality or breaking news may have on your content’s performance. It is easier to search when you use some filter to give you good results and not to search one by one, which can be time-consuming. People like to search with years or dates as it is easier to find reports or sites that match what they are looking for online.
Tips on how to use it
Before, you only had to search online for what you were looking for, but now, it is easier when you add some dates and years to it. You can add “before: YYYY-MM-DD” to your search query to get search results before a specific date. Looking for the best donuts in Boston before 2008-01-01 will give you content from 2007 and the earlier years, which is easier to look at. But when you want to get results after a specific date, you can add “after: YYYY-MM-DD” at the end of every search. You must make it a habit when searching online to make things easier, mainly when you have limited time.
You can search “top 10 horror movies after: 2018-12-31,” which will give you some results from 2019 and onward. You also have the combination of both commands to search within a date range. When looking for one-hit wonders after 1999-12-31 and before 2001-01-01, you will get results from 2000. You, as the years, can use dashes rather than slashes and the single digits for days and months, or you can filter by only using the year where it can be before:2001, which is the same as before:2001-01-01.
Most people forgot how to use the search operators because they had not seen anyone talk about it after the announcement. However, it is the best way to search when you start searching with date restrictions. It is the best idea that you begin recalling using these search operators.
Try to look by date
There is a search-by-date filter where it was known in 2009. From its debut until a few years ago, the feature was now only accessible from the Tools tab of the search features.

New commands are known in the public beta testing. Google has shared that it has been changing them over the years, but they are still looking for ways to enhance certain types, like the date display, to make them easier to use when searching online.
